7-11 ARMED ROBBERY, SHOPLIFTING LEAD POLICE WEEK

From Maplewood Police today:

February 10, 2017; Robbery; At approximately 2:25 AM, a male entered the 7-11 on Irvington Ave wearing a mask and brandishing a handgun.  He demanded the money from the registers before fleeing in a red Jeep into Irvington.  The vehicle was later recovered in Newark.  No one was injured. 

February 12, 2017: Shoplifting; At approximately 1 AM, two males entered the 7-11 and selected several items from the candy area.  They then walked out of the store without paying.  Officers searched the area, but were unable to locate the individuals.


February 7, 2017; Burglary; During the daytime hours, entry was forced to a home on the 600 block of Valley St..  Jewelry, passports and other items were reportedly stolen.
