The Victorian parlor will be dressed up with garlands and vintage decorations setting the tone for a Christmas celebration of yesteryear. Lovers of local history and architecture can peruse the exhibit, After the Hickories: Roosevelt Park, to learn more about the Roosevelt Park section of Maplewood.

HOLIDAY OPEN HOUSE TODAY

MOM AND SON HIT BY CAR

PATCH reports:

A 32-year-old Maplewood woman and her six-year-old son walking on Boyden Avenue and Parker Avenue were struck by a car on Wednesday evening, according to Maplewood Police Captain John Perna. Neither was seriously injured.
The pair were crossing Parker Avenue shortly after 6:30 p.m. on Nov. 28, said Perna, when a 63-year-old Maplewood man driving a 2004 Mercedes Benz traveling north on Boyden Avenue made a left turn onto Parker Avenue.
The man, who had a green traffic signal, reported that he never saw the mother and son (both of whom were wearing dark clothing) and drove into both of them while making the left turn, Perna said.
