SOCIAL MEDIA THREAT PROMPTED CHS LOCKDOWN

An apparent social media threat on Instagram was at least partially responsible for the lockdown this morning at Columbia High School that delayed entry for many students.

Several sources reveal that the posting below by an Instagram account labeled j0llyliberty was seen and determined to be at least something of a concern.

The posting is removed, but the account remains and has more than 1,000 followers and is followed by several CHS students.

Police called for the lockdown while Period 1 classes, which begin earlier than most, were in session. Other students were barred from entering until just before 9 a.m.
