ST. JOSEPH'S BEATING SUSPECT ASKED FOR FOOD

Sources at St. Joseph's Church indicate the suspect who was found Wednesday morning by a church employee in the rectory office had asked her for food.

The employee, who was severely beaten and is recovering with a broken jaw, broken nose and eye socket injuries, was apparently asked for food by the suspect before the beating occurred.

It is unknown if he made the request because he was hungry or to distract her before he attacked.

Police have released no new information on the incident.
