DAYLIGHT ROBBERY, AUTO-RELATED THEFTS MARK POLICE WEEK

From Maplewood Police today:

October 28, 2013, Juvenile Arrest; At approximately 10 AM , a concerned citizen
alerted police that a juvenile male was going home to home ringing door bells. 
Officers responded and located the juvenile.  He was arrested after he provided
false information to officers.  The juvenile is a suspected burglar.

 October 28, 2013, Robbery; At approximately 3 PM a silver vehicle being
operated by a female stopped at the corner of Boyden Ave and Van Ness Terr.  The
female asked the victim walking on Boyden for directions.  As the male victim
approached the vehicle, two males in their late teens or early 20s exited the
vehicle and demanded the victim’s cell phone and sneakers.  All three then
re-entered the vehicle and fled towards Union on Van Ness Terr.

October 28, 2013, Auto Theft; Between 230 and 4 PM a Bonneville  parked on
Burnet Ave was stolen.  It was later recovered by Essex County Sheriff
Department.

October 29, 2013, Theft of Auto Parts; During the overnight hours, the tires and
license plates were stolen off of a Mercedes parked in a lot on Springfield Ave.

October 31, 2013: Burglary; During the daytime hours, entry was made to a home
on 44th St.  A laptop and several other items were reported stolen.

November 3, 2013: Stolen Vehicle; At approximately 7 AM a Dodge pickup was
stolen from the driveway of an Elmwood Ave residence.
