SCHOOL BOARD RACE DOWN TO THE WIRE FOR THIRD SEAT

With all but one precinct counted, the school board race appears to have a close battle still for the third of three seats up for grabs.

While incumbent Beth Daugherty and challenger Johanna Wright appear to have won two of the seats, the third is a slim fight between incumbent David Giles and challenger Stephanie Lawson-Muhammad, with Lawson-Muhammad ahead by 24 votes out of more than 8,000 cast between the two.
