ABC NEWS REPORTER TAKES ON TUSCAN NEWS REPORT ISSUE

ABC News Channel 7's own Phil Lipof, also a Tuscan parent, was among those who weighed in on the Tuscan School security issue in which an NBC News reporter lied his way into the school to allegedly show that it is unsafe.

Lipof spoke to the school board Monday along with other parents, but appeared to defend the NBC News reporter, Jeff Rossner, and even promoted the idea of an armed guard at the front of the school.

He said he knows Rossner and wished he had been given advanced warning of the NBC News plan to approach Tuscan. Lipof also said he had to cover the Newtown, CT., shooting and described it as the worst pain he has had to see as a reporter.

Lipof was recently hired away to another station in Boston, WCVB, where he started as an intern.
