SCHOOLS SUPE RESPONDS TO TUSCAN DANGEROUS ICE

After the outrage from us and others at Tuscan School about the dangerous icy path left for students on Thursday, Superintendent Brian Osborne responded to at least one parent with this note:

Thanks, as always, for bringing your concerns to our attention.  The  maintenance department was at Tuscan School multiple times throughout the week clearing and salting the parking lot, black top and sidewalks.  As you can imagine, this has been a trying winter for all the staff and Wednesday’s weather was even more challenging with all of the changes in temperature and freezing areas.  With all of these challenges, a few areas were originally missed.  There areas were few and far between but regrettably the path from Tuscan road was one of them.  Custodians worked late again last night and before school this morning to do additional clearing and ensure students’ safe passage to school.
