TUSCAN SCHOOL DROPS THE BALL ON ICE-COVERED PATH

It took more than two days to clear the ice covered path from Tuscan Road into the main playground at Tuscan School, but it was finally done this morning.

Perhaps too little too late. On Thursday, the hilly path that many use was a safety hazard and potential legal liability for parents and students.

And several parents told us they had difficulties and received no response when their concerns were brought to Principal Malikah Majeed. Not the first time she has ignored the parents who pay her salary, but unfortunately cannot remove her.

With a full snow day on Wednesday that gave the district time to properly clear the upper playground at Tuscan, one would think someone would have been on top of clearing the sidewalk path.

Not the case.

It makes you wonder how many other pathways were left uncleared around the district. You may worry about it later when someone is hurt and sues the district. But better to worry beforehand.
