PATCH reports:
The Columbia High boys and girls fencing teams will each compete for the state championship next week.
The defending state champion boys beat Livingston 14-8 in the Final Four Wednesday at NJFA in Maplewood, while the 2012 state champion girls upended Ramapo 14-6 in the semifinals.
The top-seeded boys will face No. 2 Bernards and the No. 1 girls team will battle third-seeded Ridge next Wednesday at Morris Hills High School at 7:30 p.m.
