FORMER SOMS PRINCIPAL HEADING TO MORRISTOWN

South Orange Middle School Principal Joseph Uglialoro, who resigned this week in a surprise move, has taken a job as principal of a middle school in Morristown.

Uglialoro will take over as the top administrator at Frelinghuysen Middle School in September. His last day here is August 1.

"Mr. Uglialoro stood out among all others. His extensive knowledge of curriculum and instruction, strong communication skills and innovative leadership make him the perfect match for Frelinghuysen Middle School," Morris Schools Superintendent Mackey Pendergrast said in a statement.

Former SOMA Superintendent Brian Osborne, who left himself a year ago, offered this praise to his former employee via Twitter:

Still no formal word from South Orange Maplewood School District officials on who might replace him, even on an interim basis.
