NEW $174,000 MAPLECREST SKATE PARK GRAND OPENING TODAY

Formerly off limits, the skate park will be officially opened today

Just two weeks after skateboarders were illegally trespassing on the new skate park, the new facility in Maplecrest Park is open and will be formally christened this evening.

The Maplewood Recreation Department would like to invite you to the grand opening today of the new skate park at Maplecrest Park (327 Oakland Road-Maplewood). The opening ceremony will take place today at 5:00pm with music and light refreshments. Hope to see everyone there!

The Township Committee authorized the $89,000 project earlier this year after a bidding process that produced the following resolution. The entire cost with other needs was $174,000.
