'LET'S TALK' DRAWS MORE THAN 200 IN FIRST MONTH

Since the school district implemented Let's Talk, more than 200 inquiries have been made to the district via the online communications tool.

District officials updated the school board on the program at Monday night's meeting, indicating that 75% of the inquiries came from parents or guardians, with 86% seeking either an answer to a question or to register a concern.

The Superintendent's office took the highest percentage of inquiries, with 14%, while just 1% each were related to residency, civil rights or athletics. With a promise that each inquiry would be responded to within two days, the district revealed that responses were given in an average of 7.4 hours.

This data is based on the first month of the pilot program, which launched Sept. 9.
