RENOVATED MEMORIAL PARK TENNIS COURTS REOPENED, BUT WHAT ABOUT MAPLECREST?

Laura Tomlin, Melissa Mancuso, Mayor Deluca
The renovated tennis courts at Memorial Park, which cost $219,000, were reopened today as Mayor Vic Deluca and Recreation Advisory Committee Member Laura Tomlin re-christened the space with their own tennis volley.

Also on hand was new interim Recreation Director Melissa Mancuso.

The project funding came from different township budget funds, with $111,000 from the Open Space Trust Fund.

We asked the mayor why the tennis courts at Maplecrest Park, also in bad shape as you can see below, are not being fixed up.

He said discussions are in the works to replace at least one of those tennis courts with a new basketball court, while renovating the remaining courts.

Stay tuned!
