VALLEY STREET SHUTDOWNS CONTINUE THIS WEEK; MAY AFFECT TUSCAN SCHOOL

We've been chronicling the traffic backups and road detours created by the shutdowns along Valley Street for New Jersey American Water work on the busy county road.

Now it appears the disruptions will continue this week and affect drop-offs and pick-ups at Tuscan School.

See the latest word from the Township below:

May 2nd-May 6th, Valley St will be closed due to work by NJ American Water between Tuscan Rd and Millburn Ave. Vehicles will be detoured onto Prospect St, Millburn Ave and Springfield Ave. This will cause additional traffic in the immediate area as well as increased traffic on Springfield Ave. The work will typically last from approximately 9 AM to 4 PM as long as no unexpected obstacles are encountered. During this timeframe, there may be limited access to Tuscan School on Harvard Ave after morning drop off until approximately 3 PM. It is recommended that you plan an alternate route to avoid this area if possible. The road will be reopened following the construction daily. Further updates will be sent out when they are received.
