BIG SCHOOL BOARD MEETING TONIGHT: FROM A NEW PRINCIPAL TO BULLYING INVESTIGATION

The school board has a busy agenda tonight for its last meeting of the 2015-2016 school year.

First, as we reported this weekend, the board plans to appoint a new principal for Seth Boyden School, Damion Frye of Montclair.

There are also resolutions to hire a redistricting consultant, approve emergency repair work to the Columbia High School auditorium, and renew the $19,000 contract for the Let's Talk communications response system.

Superintendent John Ramos is also supposed to finally update the board on the lengthy investigation into Columbia High School baseball coach Joe Fischetti and the claims against him of harassment, intimidation and bullying (HIB). Background on that HERE.

And, of course, you can speak at public comment. So show up, ask a question, give them a piece of your mind, or just a pat on the back. Remember, they work for you.

See the entire agenda HERE. It is set for 7:30 p.m. at the board offices, 525 Academy St.
