RENOVATED MEMORIAL PARK TENNIS COURT COMPLAINTS SPARK REPAIRS

We reported last week that the recently renovated tennis courts in Memorial Park, which were upgraded at a cost of $219,000, were found to have had problems with cracks and uneven surfaces.

After a meeting with Township officials and the construction company, repairs began this week that will keep the courts closed through Saturday, and again later on when resurfacing is done.

Interim Recreation Director Melissa Mancuso sent this email on Wednesday:

The tennis courts are presently closed until Saturday morning, weather permitting
the repair progress.

Once the repairs have been cured we will be closing for another couple of days
[dates TBD] for the coater to come in and complete the job.

There are no costs associated with the current work.
