CANDLELIGHT VIGIL TONIGHT IN MAPLECREST PARK

This week's horrific events of black motorists killed by police in Louisiana and Minnesota -- and last night's horrific killing of five police officers in Dallas -- have prompted plans for a candlelight vigil tonight.

Organizers are still putting things together but the initial word is for a vigil at 7 p.m. at Maplecrest Park to seek calm and peace in reaction to all three cases.

We will have more information as it is made available.

    Joe, this will be rain or shine as there is a covered area at the park near the playground. Probablygood idea to play it safe and bring umbrellas!
