JULY 4TH PARKING RESTRICTIONS REMAIN IN EFFECT TODAY

The postponement of fireworks from Monday to tonight has also extended the parking restrictions that were in effect for July 4th.

According to a notice from Maplewood Police, all such 'No Parking' rules will continue through tonight's fireworks.

See that notice below:

Due to the July 4th cancellation, the Township of Maplewood will be holding its fireworks on Tuesday 07/05/16 in Memorial Park on Valley Street, between Baker St. and Oakland Rd.

There will be some limited parking spaces available in the vicinity of the Maplewood Train Station until 5pm at which time most of the streets will have No Parking. Motorists are urged to please comply with the posted signage in the area.

Residents in the immediate and expanded area should be advised that the "No Parking" areas will be maintained and there will be various road closures in the area of this event. Non-emergency vehicles will not be permitted to enter a closed road due to pedestrian traffic. Most roads surrounding Memorial Park (Valley Street) will be closed from approximately 7pm to 10pm.
