PLANNING BOARD TONIGHT CONSIDERS POST OFFICE PROJECT CHANGES FOR OUTDOOR GARBAGE DUMPSTER AND MORE

The Planning Board tonight will again consider the request by JMF Properties, developers of the former Maplewood Village Post Office site, for changes to its site plan for the retail/housing mix.

At issue specifically is the request for an outdoor garbage dumpster for the incoming restaurant. The developer also wants changes to the width of some parking stalls to make them smaller.

The original site plan approval required all such refuse to be stored within the building. But JMF recently requested to place it outside, likely near the tunnel leading from the Village Coffee parking lot to Memorial Park.
