ANOTHER PENN STATION DERAILMENT AFFECTS MAPLEWOOD TRAINS TO NYC

Less than two weeks after an Amtrak derailment at Penn Station diverted Midtown Direct trains to Hoboken, a similar incident involving an NJ Transit train has done the same thing today.

NEC, NJCL, RVL & Midtown Direct is suspended in and out of NYPS due to a derailed NJ Transit train in NYPS. MidTown Direct trains are diverted to Hoboken.
Cross honoring is in effect system-wide with NJT bus, private carriers, and PATH at NPS, HOB, and 33rd Street in NY.
