SCHOOL BOARD SPECIAL MEETING TODAY IS A LEARNING RETREAT

The Board of Education is holding a day-long special board meeting described as a "board retreat" today from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. where the governing body will receive training in a variety of best practices.

The agenda states that a New Jersey School Boards Association facilitator will provide guidance on:

• Public meetings and Robert's rules
• Best practices for committees
• Policies/protocols for Board communications
• NJSBA recommendations for annual agendas.

As always, it will also include a public comment portion where you can ask a question, give the board a piece of your mind, or just a pat on the back.
