BURGLARY, ROBBERY AND AUTO CRIMES LEAD POLICE WEEK

From Maplewood Police today:


August 5, 2014; Attempt Burglary;  At 1:30 PM, officers responded to a burglary alarm activation to a home on 44th St.  Upon their arrival, officers found damage to a door, but entry was not gained into the interior of the home.
 
August 7, 2014; Robbery; At approximately 6 AM a female walking on Springfield Ave near Chancellor Ave was approached from behind by a male.  The male grabbed her fanny pack and pulled on it until it was released by the victim.  The actor then fled on foot with the pack.
 
August 7, 2014; Theft from Auto; At approximately 2 AM, neighbor observed two males going through a vehicle on New England Rd.  He confronted the two males and advised them that he was going to call the police.  The males then fled towards Wyoming Ave on foot with a GPS unit.  Officers responded to the area, but were unable to locate the suspects.
 
August 8, 2014; Burglary;  A home on Raymond Ter was entered during the early evening hours and several pieces of jewelry were stolen.
 
August 9, 2014; Motor vehicle theft; A vehicle parked in the driveway of a Tuscan St home was stolen during the early morning hours.  The Acura was a dealer loaner car.
