SCHOOL BOARD MEMBERS WANT LAWSON-MUHAMMAD, DAVIS AND ADAMSON

If it were up to the Board of Education members who are not up for re-election the winners of the school board race would be incumbent Stephanie Lawson-Muhammad, and challengers James Davis and Susie Adamson.

We polled the seven board members who are not on the ballot and those who offered a choice picked those three.

Those include Board President Elizabeth Baker and fellow members Chris Sabin, Annemarie Maini, Beth Daugherty and Maureen Jones. Board Member Donna Smith said she was not offering an endorsement in the race, while Madhu Pai said she had not decided.

Lawson-Muhammad and incumbent Johanna Wright are both up for re-election in the race that also includes challenger Anthony Mazzocchi. Daugherty's seat is the third one up for grabs, but she is not seeking re-election.

Interestingly, Student Board Representative Philip Saulean said he is backing Wright.
