WAWA MARKET-RELATED ISSUES ON TOWNSHIP COMMITTEE AGENDA TUESDAY

The Township Committee on Tuesday will discuss several issues related to Springfield Avenue and the pending plans for a Wawa Market near the Irvington line.

See the agenda HERE.

Among them a proposal to re-designate much of the avenue from highway business to pedestrian walkway and change the limits on township gas stations from the current 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. restriction to 24-hour.

This follows a request by Wawa to allow its future gas sales on a 24-hour basis.

But with the pedestrian walkway designation for most of Springfield Avenue, such a schedule would not be allowed for most of the avenue outside of the Wawa area and the two other current gas stations on the avenue.
