POOL COMMITTEE MEETS TONIGHT

For those who want to weigh in on the ongoing Maplewood Pool issues of higher fees and a delayed opening affecting pool parties, which is also prompting the Township to spend $4,000 to move the parties to the Maplewood Country Club, the Pool Advisory Committee meets tonight at Town Hall, 7:30 p.m. to 9 p.m.

MAY FEST MESS

As of this evening the trash and debris from May Fest was creating quite the litter problem along Springfield Ave.

Hope it is cleaned up tomorrow by those who made it.

GREAT MAY FEST, BUT....

Loved May fest today, but making kids pay $5 for all-you-can ride instead of per ride fee is unfair to those who just want to ride once.

Still, a great day. My favorite always the classic cars.

We got this explanation for today's brief power outage this morning from PSE&G via email:

In response to your inquiry regarding the outages in Maplewood:
A broken insulator caused a line to fall, causing approximately 6,000 customers to lose service for an hour and 45 minutes.  Crews made the repair and service has been restored to everyone affected.
