PODCAST - MAPLEWOOD SELMA MARCH VETERAN JOSEPH FORD

Maplewood's own Selma veteran, Joseph Ford, spoke with us about his civil rights efforts that led to the famous march, now the basis for an Oscar-nominated film.

Ford discussed how he got into the civil rights fight, what it was like to be at the Edmund Pettus Bridge for the bloody Sunday battle in 1965, and his other work for equality.

TOWNSHIP LIFTS TRAVEL BAN, BUT SUGGESTS STAYING OFF ROADS

From the Township:

The State of New Jersey has revoked the statewide travel ban that was put into effect at 11:00PM last evening.

Residents should continue to stay off the roads whenever possible throughout the day as transportation and public safety officials continue their work to clear the roadways from the snowfall. Please be extremely cautious if you must travel today.
