LORENA'S MAKES LIST OF TOP 100 EATERIES NATIONWIDE

From Maplewood Village Alliance:

MAPLEWOOD’S RESTAURANT LORENA’S MAKES TOP 100 LIST

[January 20, 2014] – Maplewood’s Restaurant Lorena’s was named one of the top 100 restaurants in America by OpenTable.com. The website chose the honorees from a list of nearly 19,000 restaurants, based on reviews sent in by “certified diners.” Lorena’s was one of only five New Jersey restaurants to make the list. http://www.opentable.com/best-restaurants-in-america/

“It's an incredible honor to have one of Open Table's Top 100 restaurants right here in Maplewood Village, but of course anyone who has eaten at Lorena's isn't surprised,” said Julie Doran, Manager of the Maplewood Village alliance. “Chef Humberto Campos, Jr. and his team have created an incredible dining experience that isn't to be missed.” Campos, Jr. thanked his restaurant’s patrons as well as everyone who had reviewed Lorena’s for OpenTable. “Your incredibly kind words have elevated Lorena’s onto this list,” he said.

Restaurant Lorena’s, located at 168 Maplewood Avenue, offers “haute cuisine deeply rooted in Frnech technique and inspired by seasons,” according to the restaurant’s website. Campos, Jr. and Lorena Perez opened the restaurant in 2005.

PSE&G TREE-TRIMMING ANNOUNCED

This seems ripe for early noise and displacement, but takes care of an important need.

From the Township website:

Tree Trimming for PSE&G

Most of the power lines are located near the curbs so access to your property won’t be necessary. However, some power lines run through private property and access will be needed. Before performing work on your property a representative from Jaflo Tree Service will be stopping by your property to discuss any maintenance that needs to take place. If Jaflo misses you at home they will leave a yellow door tag. Please take a moment to fill it out, and place it back on your doorknob to assist Maplewood in keeping these power lines safe and reliable. For any questions, you may contact Jaflo Tree Service at (484)-633-6302.

PSE&G’s tree trimming program follows the guidelines established by the National Arborist Association and the International Society of Arboriculture. Certifications held by staff members include New Jersey Certified Tree Experts and Certified Arborists.

All necessary tree work will be done without expense to the property owner. The work will be done by Jaflo Tree Service. These individuals will be in white trucks with green lettering and will be working Monday through Thursday 7 a.m. – 5 p.m.
