SCHOOL BOARD MEETS TONIGHT ON CHS COACH PROBE, CONSULTANT CONTRACT

The Board of Education meeting on Monday is expected to include an update on the bullying investigation of Columbia High School baseball coach Joe Fischetti and approval of a $56,000 consultant for professional development.

See the full agenda HERE.

The board on July 6 received the final report from outside investigator Leroy Seitz, who was paid $5,000 to review the district's own review that found Fischetti had committed acts of harassment, intimidation and bullying (HIB). But that report has not been released.

Superintendent John Ramos has declined comment on the report, but has told others involved in the case he plans to give a recommendation based on the report at tonight's meeting.

The meeting is set for 7:30 p.m. at the board offices, 525 Academy St.
