UNION SITE OF MAPLEWOOD MAN'S DEATH HAD LONG CRIMINAL HISTORY

NJ.com reports that the Union home where a Maplewood man died  this week had been the site of 30 police calls related to drugs and violence in past years.

The website stated:

UNION — Police were called to the home where a 25-year-old Maplewood man was killed Tuesday at least 30 times over the past 16 years, according to police records. Police also made five arrests there.
On Tuesday, just before 5 a.m., Matthew Murrell was found dead in a side yard of that Salem Road home. Police have not said why they went to that home Tuesday, how Murrell died or why Murrell was at the house.
Two residents of the home have previous arrests on drug charges.
