TC ALTERS PARKING LIMIT PROPOSAL NEAR TUSCAN SCHOOL

The Township Committee on Tuesday night agreed to alter the proposed two-hour parking limit on Tuscan Road between Prospect and Valley streets after concerns were raised by the effect on the local community.

The TC had planned to give final approval to the two-hour limit that would have been in place from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., claiming it deters commuters from parking all day in the area next to Tuscan School.

After discussion, which included concerns by local residents that the two-hour limit would impact school-related parking, the TC agreed to shorten the time limit for two-hour parking to 8 a.m. to Noon weekdays.

The amended ordinance will now be considered for final approval on Oct. 18.
