ALL TOWN VOTING STATIONS WILL OPEN

This from PATCH:

Tuesday's election will go on in Maplewood as originally planned despite the destruction Hurricane Sandy caused to several polling places.

"You will vote where you usually vote," said Mayor Vic DeLuca.
The polling stations that had been without power -- DeHart Center, Prospect Presbyterian Church and Clinton School -- will be up and running. DeHart Center, where the township has operated a shelter since the storm hit last week, got power back last night. The generator that was being used there has been transferred to Prospect Church.

The township has taken the generators that had been used for the temporary lighting at Memorial Park and put them at Clinton School, which remains without power.

DeLuca cautioned voters to use care when walking to polling places, as there are still numerous trees and wires down throughout town.

The polls are open from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Tuesday. To read about (and see a video of) the recent Maplewood Township Committee candidate debate, and for links to candidate profiles, click here.
