PODCAST: JULY 4TH CHAIR TOM PASCUITE ON CHANGES, COSTS AND PAYING YOUR FAIR SHARE

July 4th will have some of the biggest changes ever on Monday.

While there will be fewer free areas to watch the fireworks, there will be a lot more activities within the paid space, from more music to a car show and added games.

This is also the first year that wristbands will replace paper tickets for the event, which costs $40,000 -- $16,000 for the fireworks alone.

We caught up with Tom Pascuite, chair of the Maplewood July 4th Committee, to discuss the changes and insider details of putting on the Township's biggest annual event. And why your ticket/wristband purchase covers some 90% of the cost that take no Township or taxpayer money.

He also said volunteers are still needed and you can help.
