SWIM TEAM WILL USE UNION Y POOL; EDUCATION SUMMIT ANNOUNCED

The Board of Education Monday announced it had leased space at the Union YMCA for the Columbia High School swim teams to hold practice and meets this school year following the sudden shutdown of the CHS pool due to safety concerns.

Business Administrator Paul Roth said the lease will cost the district $8,500 for the 2016-2017 school year.

In an unrelated move, Superintendent John Ramos also announced that the second annual Education Summit would take place on Dec. 6, 2016.
