FALLING PLASTER SPARKS SCHOOL BOARD MEETING RELOCATION

Tonight's school board meeting has been moved to Columbia High School because of falling plaster in a storage room under the board's regular meeting room.

The district alerted residents in an email earlier today, noting it was due to a "facilities issue," but with no other details.

District Business Administrator Paul Roth said the damage to the storage room was discovered this morning and the board meeting room was closed off so that no more damage could be caused by people walking across the floor, which is above the damaged storage room ceiling.

The meeting is still set for 7:30 p.m., but at CHS. See the agenda HERE.
