DELUCA DETAILS HIS OWN PAST PANCREATIC ILLNESS DURING PROCLAMATION

Mayor Vic Deluca discussed his own pancreatic scare at Tuesday night's Township Committee meeting during a proclamation for Pancreatic Cancer Awareness Day on Nov. 17.

"About six years ago, I was really sick, I lost a lot of weight, all my insides were not working properly and I ended up in the hospital," he said. "I had no idea what was going on."

He said he was found to have had a tumor on his pancreas. 

"It's a deadly, silent killer," he said. "Luckily, I was one of the very few, that my tumor was noncancerous."
