The Springfield Avenue Partnership confirmed the news in an email yesterday that included a note Mayor De Luca had sent to them last week. It is below:

Daibes Gas 14 LLC, a subsidiary of Daibes Enterprises of Edgewater, will construct a mixed-use residential and commercial building on the southeast corner of Springfield and Burnett avenues, across from the new police station and municipal court building. Daibes' plans for the site of the old Shell gas station call for a two-story development with 5,275-square-feet of retail space on the first floor and six apartments on the second floor. The plan includes fifteen parking spaces in a lot behind the proposed building.
