On 01/10/2013 at approximately 630 PM patrols responded to 1013 Chancellor Ave on a report of an assault and robbery.  Upon arrival, officers spoke with the victim, a forty year old male from Harrison, NJ.  The victim reported that he was standing on the corner of Chancellor Ave and 44th St when a group of approximately 5 juveniles assaulted him before taking his cell phone and a small amount of cash.  The forty year old victim further reported that one of the actors punched him on the left side of his face and attempted to wrap his arm around him, but he was able to get away. He ran to a building on Chancellor Ave and called 9-1-1.  The actors ran towards Springfield Ave on Chancellor Ave and split up.  The juveniles were all described as being between the age of 15-17 years old and all had on dark clothing.  No weapons were observed by the victim.  An ambulance was summonsed, but the victim refused medical attention.  The detective bureau is currently investigating.
