Gov. Chris Christie is a man of many fine qualities, but he blows a gasket when anyone dares to question his judgment. It’s enough to make you grateful that waterboarding journalists is illegal in America.
His latest tantrum, though, was too crowded with falsehoods and insults to ignore. The governor is furious over The Star-Ledger’s coverage of his decision to award a $150 million no-bid contract to his political pals at AshBritt for the Sandy cleanup. We are cowards, we are disgraceful, we are biased, etc., etc.
We are supposed to trust him on this. Or at least stop being so mean by pointing out things like this: He blew it by not having a contract for refuse removal in place before the storm. Several other states did.
