TWO STORE ARMED ROBBERIES MARK POLICE WEEK

From Maplewood Police today:


March 3, 2014; Robbery: At approximately 11 AM, a lone 
actor entered the Elmwood Sweet Shop and displayed a 
handgun. The individual demanded money before 
fleeing in a silver vehicle. 

March 4, 2014; Stolen Motor Vehicle, over the previous week a Dodge Caravan was 
removed from the parking lot of 50 Burnett Ave.  the vehicle was later recovered 
in Irvington.

March 5, 2014; Attempt Robbery: At approximately 315 PM, a Juvenile female was 
walking on Kensington Terr when a teenage male attempted to grab her cell phone 
from her hand.

March 9, 2014; Robbery: At approximately 615 AM, a lone actor entered the Quik 
Chek on Springfield Ave, displayed a handgun and removed money from the cash 
register.  The actor then entered a vehicle in the parking lot and fled East on 
Springfield Ave.
