LIBRARY COMPUTER LAB TODAY

5-6 p.m. Hilton Branch Computer Lab – Computer generated animation, gaming landscapes and consumer products all start as 3D computer models.  This 8 WEEK WORKSHOP will present participants with the opportunity to learn the basics of Rhino 3D a user friendly industrial strength 3D CAD program.  The workshop is open to middle school students, high school students and adults.

The classes will cover:

  • Drawing and editing lines and curves
  • Navigating 3-dimensional space.
  • Creating and transforming shapes.
  • Building 3D models of objects from simple to complex using a variety of modeling techniques.
  • Creating photorealistic renderings of models.
  • Creating designs for 3D printing.
By attending all the classes in the workshop you will have the opportunity to print your design on the library’s new 3d printer.
