MAPLEWOODIAN OF THE YEAR: IBTIHAJ MUHAMMAD

Ibtihaj Muhammad captured the world's interest this past summer as she not only brought home the bronze in Olympic fencing, but also became the first Olympic athlete to compete in a hijab.

For her courage, success and class in these endeavors, we have named her Maplewoodian of the Year for 2016.

She receives the plaque shown above and a $25 gift certificate to The Able Baker.
