SCHOOL BOARD REORGANIZATION TONIGHT: BAKER LIKELY TO REPEAT AS PRESIDENT

The Board of Education holds its annual reorganization meeting tonight at 7:30 p.m. in the Columbia High School auditorium.

The board will swear in newly elected Member Susie Adamson, as well as re-elected members Johanna Wright and Stephanie Lawson-Muhammad.

In addition, the board will choose a president for another year. 

Current president Elizabeth Baker is the odds on favorite to take the position again, although veterans Lawson-Muhammad and Madhu Pai could be strong contenders.

You may recall, Baker was the overwhelming choice in our recent online survey of residents.
