So our wonderful governor, Chris Christie, decided to call two special elections, an August primary and an October general, to pick a replacement for the late Sen. Frank Lautenberg.
This will cost us $24 million. Yes, he could have just appointed a replacement to serve out Lautenberg's term, or at least hold the general election in November when his seat is up and others in the regular election are held
But, no, the famed cost-cutter, who said "I don't care" what the cost is, would rather add to our budget problems for his own political gain.
