| Fifth annual BOOK SALE/BAKE SALE to benefit Kids v Cancer at 38 PLYMOUTH AVENUE in Maplewood. SATURDAY, JUNE 1, 9am-1pm. Children's books of all shapes and sizes, sorted by category, including board books, picture books, "I can read," early chapter books, series, middle reader, young adult, history and biography, American Girl, Star Wars, Christmas, Jewish interest, Russian language, fantasy, animals, dinosaurs, activity books, reference, workbooks, nonfiction, poetry, mythology, Disney, parenting, etc. You name it, we've got it. A few boxes of great adult fiction and nonfiction as well. Dirt-cheap prices. It's a great opportunity to stock up for summer. Come for breakfast: lots of scrumptious baked goods and awesome lattes! Look out, too, for fabulous duct-tape creations from the girls behind Sticky Stuff. Since last year's book sale, thanks to the tireless efforts of Kids v Cancer (www.kidsvcancer.org), Congress passed the Creating Hope Act, which provides incentives to pharmaceutical companies to develop new drugs to treat pediatric rare diseases. |
