Maplewood,
New Jersey, May 20, 2015 ─ Assemblymembers Mila
M. Jasey and John F.
McKeon, (D-Essex/Morris) both long-time Democratic leaders, have endorsed Nancy
Adams and Jerry Ryan in the upcoming Democratic Primary election in Maplewood.
Both Assemblywoman Jasey and Assemblyman McKeon are also up for re-election
this year
“I
have worked closely with Jerry Ryan on numerous committees for more than a
decade, both as an Assemblywoman and during my tenure as a member of the South
Orange/Maplewood Board of Education.”, said Jasey. “Nancy Adams and I were both active
members of the Maplewood/South Orange League of Women Voters, and I know her to
be a dedicated resident of the town she loves and a smart, forward-thinking
woman. She would be a great asset to the governing body.” “I am proud to share the ticket with both
Jerry and Nancy this year,” said Jasey.
“As
Mayor of West Orange, we were lucky to have Nancy lead the Downtown West Orange
Alliance, revitalizing the organization and obtaining Main Street New Jersey
certification, adding events to bring people to Main Street, and helping me to
get a $2.4 million grant from the Federal Department of Transportation to improve
the streetscape in town,” said McKeon.
“I’ve known Jerry to be a dedicated public servant in Maplewood and have
been glad to have been able to help him get aid from the State when Maplewood
needed it.”
