BURGLARIES, THEFTS MARK POLICE WEEK: AND GUARD THOSE DELIVERED PACKAGES

From Maplewood Police today:

October 12, 2015; Bicycle Theft; A resident of Academy St responded to Police headquarters and reported that a bicycle was stolen from their garage.  The garage had been left open and the bicycle was taken sometime within the previous 24 hours.
 
October 13, 2015; Burglary; During the morning hours a home on Mountain Ave was entered and jewelry and electronics were stolen.
 
October 13, 2015; Burglary; During the afternoon hours a home on Ridgewood Ter was entered and jewelry and electronics were stolen.
 
October 15, 2015; Burglary;  At approximately 9:45 AM, officers responded to a report of a burglary in progress. Upon their arrival, they located Benjamin Pullin, age 49 of Newark attempting to flee the scene. Mr. Pullin was able to be detained by Officer Wasielewski following a brief foot chase and was taken into custody following the on scene investigation.
 
October 17, 2015; Package theft;  A Laurel Ave resident reported a package theft that occurred some time after delivery at noon. Residents are reminded to monitor all package deliveries and report all suspected thefts to the Police and to the delivery service soon as possible.
