RE:YARD PROGRAM LAUNCH PARTY  Saturday October 3rd, from 2:00-4:00 pm Rent Party Garden (220 Prospect Street, South Orange NJ) Join us for the launch of an exciting new sustainability initiative created in partnership with the three towns of Maplewood, South Orange, and Millburn (MapSOMil).  re:Yard is a sustainable lawn certification program that recognizes best-in-class yard care practices (http://www.reyard.org).   Learn what you need to do now to prepare your yard/garden for spring.  There will be opportunities to Ask the Expert about Yard Detox, Soil Testing, Composting, Native Plants, Drip Irrigation, Rain Gardens, and more.  There will also be a Drawing for Free Giveaways • Backyard Composters• Plant Bulb Packets• Soil Testing Kits• One Yard Consultation Session.   Afterwards is a Social Event/Garden Hang: Kick back at the Elks Lodge after learning about healthy and sustainable yard care (cash bar).  This event is hosted by MapSOMil and Rent Party. (Event will be held rain or shine.  If it just cloudy, we will be out in the garden.  If it is pouring, we will be inside the Elks Lodge.)
