HILLARY CLINTON WINS MAPLEWOOD, BUT SO DOES TRUMP?

Democratic Party voters in Maplewood chose Hillary Clinton in the primary on Tuesday by more than two to one, according to results that mirrored the statewide trend that gave her the delegate win.

Results from Town Hall found that Clinton received 4,197 votes in Maplewood, compared to 1,832 for Bernie Sanders. Clinton won the vote total in each of the 22 Township districts, grabbing the most votes in District 2 -- which voted at The Woodland -- where she received 303 votes.

Republican Donald Trump, meanwhile, managed to garner 206 votes in the GOP primary, followed by John Kasich with 89 and Ted Cruz with 24.

Closer to home on the Township Committee campaign, Democrat Frank McGehee and Republican Mike Summersgill won their primary elections uncontested.

McGehee received 4,238 votes in his primary, with 22 write-in votes, while Summersgill took all 264 votes cast in the GOP primary.
