EXPANDED LEAF BLOWER BAN UP FOR FINAL VOTE TONIGHT, AMONG OTHER ITEMS

The controversial leaf blower ban. which has drawn the ire of landscapers but the support of noise-frustrated residents, will be extended and tightened under an ordinance up for final approval at tonight's Township Committee meeting.

But that's not all. Other items up for a final vote include:

* An ordinance that would place restrictions on portable storage units, or PODS, in town. Details HERE.

* Approval of Maplewood Pool fees for 2017 that will include a new weekend-only discount.

* Approval of a one-time $10 sewer fee increase for 2017.
